Rotarians and Interactors consistently replenish the Rotary Little Library with children-friendly books, enriching our community's reading resources. Operating under the "Take a book, bring a book" concept, we foster a culture of reading among our children, promoting a sense of community as they share their books with other kids in Weston.
OneBlood

The Weston Rotary Club partners with OneBlood for blood drives. Since its beginning, we have gathered sufficient blood to potentially save up to 200 lives at Broward County hospitals.
Junior Achievement of South Florida

JA BizTown® combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. After learning in the classroom, students put their skills to work by becoming employees for a day at JA BizTown®. This hands-on simulated learning facility features many different businesses and industries. The Rotary Club of Weston members volunteer their time at JA BizTown®.
District Tree Planting Project

Rotary District 6990 continues to expand its Rotarian Forest, having planted more than 1,000 trees since its inception. The Rotary Club of Weston has generously contributed over 270 trees and actively participated in tree-planting initiatives.
Soles4Souls

We support two initiatives: 4OPPORTUNITY: We collect gently used pairs of shoes, meticulously inspect them, and then transport the donations to Soles4Souls. These items are dispatched to various countries, aiding entrepreneurs in selling donated shoes. The Rotary Club of Weston has collected over 2,500 pairs of shoes! 4EVERYKID: partnering with Soles4Souls and Broward schools, we support providing new athletic shoes to children facing homelessness.
Habitat for Humanity

Rotarians partner with Habitat for Humanity – Members of the Rotary Club of Weston have been spending their Saturday mornings as volunteers hammering and painting away at newly constructed homes for families in need of decent and affordable housing.
Feeding South Florida

The Rotary Club of Weston aids Feeding South Florida in helping families requiring assistance. Our member volunteers contribute by inspecting, sorting, and repacking donated food.
Rise Against Hunger

Since the initiation of Rise Against Hunger's meal packaging program in 2005, Rotarians have collectively packaged over 30 million meals for global distribution. Rotary is pivotal in assisting Rise Against Hunger in achieving the United Nations' objective of eradicating world hunger by 2030. The Rotary Club of Weston has actively contributed by packing over 20,000 meals for distribution in a country grappling with food insecurity.
Reyna Group Homes

We collaborate with Reyna Group to offer residents love and encouragement. Whenever possible, we join in celebrating holidays with them. Additionally, we provide residents with back-to-school clothes and supplies, Thanksgiving meals, and holiday season gifts.
LifeNet4Families

The Rotary Club of Weston partners with LifeNet4Families to aid those in poverty. Club members volunteer on Saturdays, serving hot meals and packing toiletry packages for facility users. During crises like pandemics, members help pack food for distribution to affected families.
HUF

The Rotary Club of Weston packaged and delivered Thanksgiving meals to Unity4kids families. The Preschool Program focuses on equipping children with the essential skills for school success. It's a dual-language initiative emphasizing self-discovery, literacy, and parental involvement, along with providing family support services.

The Rotary Club of Weston aids Gilda's Club by contributing and distributing Thanksgiving meals to families impacted by cancer.
Harvest Drive

Harvest Drive assists 2,300 families each Thanksgiving and over 360 families monthly. The Rotary Club of Weston participates in the Harvest Drive collection project. Rotary members supervise the sorting, packaging, and distribution of food.
Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Rotarians support this National Food Drive event benefiting LifeNet4Families. Members of the Rotary Club of Weston organized canned food from local post office trucks and package them for delivery to the pantry at LifeNet4Families.

The Rotary Club of Weston has come together to channel that charitable and compassionate spirit we see so often when our community faces a crisis. We know so many are on the front lines – from health care workers, to hospital workers, to our first responders and so many others. Workers in all sorts of essential businesses expose themselves to the risk so that our community can move forward. Our restaurants, businesses and so many employees have been asked to sacrifice so much to save a nation.

The Rotary Club of Weston has partnered with the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale/Cypress Creek to change lives in South Africa by collecting bicycles for our Bikes for Africa Initiative. Bikes have been pouring in throughout the Weston community since 2016.

The Rotary Club of Weston addresses the service needs of our community through its organizational capabilities, member skills, volunteerism, and funding support. We focus our community service activities in the areas of Services to Youth (including education /scholarship/ learning development), Services to Families In Need, and International Projects as needs are identified.

Object of Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

As a Rotarian, I will

  1. Act with integrity and high ethical standards in my personal and professional life
  2. Deal fairly with others and treat them and their occupations with respect
  3. Use my professional skills through Rotary to: mentor young people, help those with special needs, and improve people’s quality of life in my community and in the world
  4. Avoid behavior that reflects adversely on Rotary or other Rotarians
  5. Help maintain a harassment-free environment in Rotary meetings, events, and activities, report any suspected harassment, and help ensure non-retaliation to those individuals that report harassment.
